The city of Cleveland is located in the state of Ohio in the United States. It is in the northeastern portion of the state, on the shores of Lake Erie. The city was founded in 1796. The area experienced rapid growth following the completion of the Ohio and Erie Canal. While the city has long been known as a ‘working class’ city with heavy economic dependence on manufacturing, it has over the last decade or more, reinvented itself to change with the times. Students enrolled in English school in Cleveland will likely look forward to visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. The museum is “dedicated to exploring the past, present and the future of the music” and achieves this goal through a variety of eye catching exhibits. The museum also plays host to a number of events throughout the year including lectures, films, discussions and more. The Great Lakes Science Center is another popular excursion with over 400 exhibits and an IMAX theater to entertain and educate its visitors. Those looking to spend some times outdoors might enjoy visiting one of the many local parks. The Cleveland Metroparks provides a vast array of maintained trails for cycling, jogging and walking. With several professional sports teams in town, visitors might enjoy catching a game, depending on the season. The city has really concentrated on its ‘urban renewal’, making it one of the most livable cities in the United States.
