Located in the Alberta province of Canada, Calgary lies near the Rocky Mountains and is a tourist destination and economic center for the region. Calgary is scenic and majestic-- placed between the foothills of the Rockies to the west and the prairies to the east, visitors can experience a variety of world class outdoor activities in and around Calgary. Calgary is just a short drive away from excellent skiing, snowboarding, and hiking in the mountains and in the sprawling lands of Banff National Park. While studying English courses in Calgary, students may want to time to visit Heritage Park Historical Village, the Glenbow Museum, or the Calgary Zoo. Students interested in attending an English school in Calgary will be in a city teeming with activity, which visitors can view from the famous Calgary Tower, which stands tall above the city.
