Main course book, with supplementary grammar and vocabulary materials taken from published EFL books or devised by teachers.
Lesson 3 & 4: Focuses on fluency and listening / speaking skills
Main course book with supplementary listening / speaking materials, either published or authentic or original.
Homework This is set daily by the grammar teacher.

Authentic General English
A skills-based course introducing students to “real” English from a variety of sources, such as video, radio, magazine and newspaper articles, TV programmes and literature.
Classes may focus on British life and culture and may include visiting local places of interest (e.g. the Courts). For low level students, there is greater emphasis on functional language / real situations that are of immediate use such as shopping / changing money / booking tickets etc. Students can carry out real life tasks outside the school.
This course is tailor-made to suit the participants – Teachers consult students on areas that interest them most and choose topics accordingly. Monday is often a “news” day based around events of the weekend.
Homework: At least once a week. We aim for “authentic” tasks rather than exercises.

Where possible, we also offer micro-teaching, observation of Globe teachers and visits to local schools during term time.
