ELS/Boston City is located 10 minutes from downtown Boston in the Cambridge College commercial building on Massachusetts Avenue – the same street as Harvard University and MIT. Two major subway stations within short walking distance offer ELS/Boston City Center students easy access to numerous historical sites, downtown shopping, museums, outdoor recreation and excellent nightlife and entertainment.
Students at an English school in Boston will be in a historic city located in the Northeastern part of the United States in the state of Massachusetts. It's a "big little city" so to speak, and so it is a great place for people who want a city environment but are worried about getting "lost in a big city". Boston is home to many major portions of American history-- Boston played a key role during the American Revolution including Paul Revere's famous "midnight ride" , the Battle of Bunker Hill and the Boston Tea Party. In fact, there is so much history in Boston that the city has a self-guided tour called the "Freedom Trail" that visitors can walk through to see everything from the Boston Common (the oldest public park in America), to Paul Revere's house, to the USS Constitution! But Boston isn't just some "old city" either -- it has a highly concentrated population of young people since there are many colleges and universities in the city. Studying English courses in Boston is a great idea for anyone looking for a lovable city with an interesting past and plenty of new things happening every day.
