The safe and secure University Residence complex and its extensive property is located within the boundaries of the old Village of Lija; approximately 6 kms from Sliema, situated in acres of picturesque property, dotted with a variety of interesting flora and fauna. Students can enjoy getting together to exercise their sporting skills on a tennis court and a full-sized basketball court. Joggers and runners have a 400 metre low-impact circuit. There is a large swimming pool with sunbeds and umbrellas just outside the rooms, other facilities include Internet access (Wi-Fi, for students who bring their own laptop 1hr: €1.60, 5hrs: €6.00. For those use the shared computers 1hr vouchers at €3 each).

Students attend lessons at St. Martin’s College (with the exception of the first weeks of the programme when students may attend a school in St Julian’s). St Martin’s College provides a safe and comfortable environment which is highly conducive to English language learning. Staying with a Maltese family is a great way for students to practice their English outside of school whilst learning about the culture of this interesting island. All of our host families are licensed by the Malta Tourism Authority and approved by EC’s Accommodation staff who also visit all host families regularly. What's Included: • English course: 20 morning / afternoon lessons (45 mins each) per week for a total of 15 hours. The course will help improve English language skills by focusing on the key areas: reading, writing, speaking and listening. A strong focus is placed on speech and using the language confidently and fluently. • Airport transfers (arrival and departure) • Accommodation on full board • EC bus for school and all excursions • Air-conditioned classrooms • Supervised activity programme: > 5 half day activities and 3 evening activities per week > 1 full day activity for students staying minimum 2 weeks Rooms include: • Desk/table where students can do their homework (if not in the room, a place for studying will be provided in a common area) • Storage space • a bed What to Expect from the Residence: • Bed linen is provided; students should bring their own towels - linen and towels will be cleaned once a week. • Laundry facilities will be provided by the family once a week.
