Intensive 30 CourseLanguage Studies International: Paris

The LSI Intensive 30 Course is of particular benefit for those who need to maximize their opportunities to practice and learn French. The emphasis is on speaking and other communicative skills. In the morning, students will learn communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In the afternoon, students concentrate on special topics and projects, with a focus on communicative skills. These lessons provide a comprehensive review of the culture and customs of the country. Students who have reached the intermediate level can take the test preparation or Business course in the afternoon.

In the mornings (lessons 1-4) students have the same programme as the LSI Standard 20 course. In the afternoons (lessons 5-6) there are a range of options to suit you. All LSI schools offer fluency practice – these classes consolidate what you learn in the morning, improving your fluency and pronunciation through discussion on a wide range of topics. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations. Topics may include: film and theatre, media studies, current events, politics, local culture, research using the internet. Other options vary, depending on your level, the language and the LSI language centre where you are studying.
