You will take a placement test on your first day to determine your class level. You may also take this test before your arrival in Edinburgh.

Course description

The main focus of an EAC General English Course is on communication skills in real-life settings. The semi-intensive course contains 20-lessons per week (15 hours) and the course and teachers strive to meet the needs of all of the individuals in the class using authentic materials such as newspapers, DVDs, the Internet, books and other media, in addition to course books. All classes have the same teacher for the main part of the day. This allows the teacher to get to know the students and to work with them on any weak areas of their English language skills. Students have regular progress tests and reports as well as homework; at the end of the course students receive a certificate and detailed report of their progress.
