Course description

Kaplan's General English course offers both group lessons and structured, independent study sessions-- leaving students plenty of time for social activities and to explore their surroundings. This course consists of 20 lessons of general English and 7 lessons of structured study time.

An English Academic Semester course is a great way to immerse yourself in learning English. Spend a semester learning English and getting to know a new location. Watch your language skills grow dramatically during your time studying English! Our English Academic Semester courses are 5-6 month English courses that aim to get you from your current level of English up to a very high level of fluency. You can choose between Intensive English and General English course structures, and you can also choose to study specific sections of vocabulary and skills, such as Business English.

20 General English lessons focus on helping you to communicate effectively in everyday English. The wide-ranging syllabus will improve your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills and confidence. Along with regular English courses you will also have several 'Structured Study' sessions during the week. These let you learn what you want to learn and reinforce the skills you’ve built up by using selected books, online language exercises and learning software. There is also the option of an unpaid internship, should you meet the language proficiency and visa requirements.

"One of my the best experiences I had."

Sebastian Saul, student from Germany

Kaplan International was a very organized place. Professional but also very fun. I had a good time and enjoyed every lessons with my teacher Brad. There are also many activities for the week, which is nice. The best part tho is that you meet so many nice students at the school from around the world and have a lot of fun.

For me the school was all in all perfect but my housing was not that good. I lived to far away and the hosts were very strict and had cameras all over the place and spied on me and other students during meal etc. Some of the people I met in school had an appartement, which is way nicer than staying in a home stay.

"It was an amazing experience"

Adiaris Williams-Rodriguez, student from Cayman Islands

I really enjoyed being part of the Kaplan students, from the very first day, which was very informative and well organized, I felt welcome. The school staff, teachers and volunteers were very helpful. The teachers are very professional and they are very well prepared. The school is located in a very convenient place that allows us to visit tourist areas and also very close to the public transport. I also had the opportunity to stay in the new residence which is very close to the school as well as other places such as supermarket, malls restaurant, cinema and so on. This trip also allowed me to visit the French Canada, Niagara falls, and participate in many other activities organized by the school. in conclusion, it is not just a place where you can learn or improve the language, but also where you interact with people from many other countries with different cultures.
