You will take a placement test on your first day to determine your class level. You may also take this test before your arrival in Edinburgh.

Course description

The courses is composed of 22.5 hours of group lessons and 7.5 hours of self study. Its focus is on building business language and developing communication skills and strategies. The programme is designed to mirror international real-life business situations. The course is designed to help you communicate more confidently in meetings, negotiations and social situations. Using a variety of effective learning techniques you develop your abilities to liaise with customers and business partners in English. You also develop your awareness of cross-cultural issues, important for working with suppliers and partners of different nationalities. Mornings focus on business language required for meetings, negotiations and presentations. Afternoons focus on business vocabulary, discussion, current affairs and role play.
