Rabat is the capital city of Morocco and the second largest city in the country. Rabat is located at the mouth of the Bou Regreg River, which empties into the Atlantic Ocean. The city is an important part of Morocco: not only is it popular with tourists, but it is home to several foreign embassies as well. Students interested in taking Arabic courses in Rabat will enjoy the lovely Mediterranean climate and some of the great sites to visit – such as the Royal Palace, the Parliament, and the beautiful coastline. Visitors who wish to explore the city even further may want to venture to the Chellah which is full of ruins that surround the city.
