Ariana (also spelled Aryanah) is the capital of the Ariana Governate, one of twenty four governates in the country of Tunisia. Along with being an excellent city to explore and experience plenty of culture (make sure to check out the Mosquée Ennasr with its interesting modern architecture) it is also close to the both Carthage and Tunis, the capital city of Tunisia. While in Ariana, visitors should make sure to visit the sacred site Tophet, and the Antonine Baths, from the days of ancient Roman Carthage.
